Visit of Vietnamese Builders Union Delegation to Cyprus/ Signing of MoU
In the context of strengthening bilateral relations and exchange of experiences with trade unions in the construction sector, the Cyprus Building, Wood, Mine and General Workers Trade Union PEO welcomed in Cyprus the Vietnamese National Union of Building Workers (VNUBW) from 19-24 April
The Vietnamese delegation consisted of the President, Nguyen Thuy Le, Do Thi Tham, Chief Accountant and Le Hong Phong, Head of the Law and Policy Department.
During the visit, the two organizations had the opportunity to discuss issues of common interest, and sign a Memorandum of Understanding between them.
The agreement, provides for the organization of seminars and visits by experts from each country on many topics, such as Occupational Safety and Health, Collective Agreements, Social Dialogue in Labour, Policies for Women and Youth, Organizational Issues and many more.
Upon departure, the Vietnamese colleagues confirmed their intention to strengthen our bilateral relations for the benefit of the members of both organizations.
