International Trade Union Conference by CGTP-IN in Portugal
On Thursday, February 22, 2024, around 120 Trade Union leaders, representing approximately 90 Trade Unions Organizations from all over the world, as well as more than two hundred national leaders and delegates, from CGTP-IN structures, participated in the International Trade Union Conference organized by CGTP-IN, an initiative that was part of the holding of its XV Congress (23 and 24 February).
The opening of the Conference was made by João Barreiros, from the Executive Committee of CGTP-IN, responsible for International Relations and the closing speech was made by the Secretary General, Isabel Camarinha.
FEVICCOM participated in the International Trade Union Conference, being represented by a delegation of Trade Union Leaders headed by Pedro Milheiro, member of the UITBB secretariat.
The XV Congress of the CGTP-IN was held on the 23rd and 24th of February 2024, with the motto “Guarantee rights. Combat exploitation. Affirm April for a Portugal with a future”, where the members of the National Council for the next four-year term of the Central Trade Union whore elected in addition to the approval of the Action Plan by approximately 730 delegates to the Congress.
At the XV Congress of the CGTP-IN, the new Secretary General, Tiago Oliveira, was elected.
