Condolences on the passing of Comrade Luis Brito Jimenez
It is with great sadness that the Trade Unions International of Workers of the Building, Wood and Building Materials Industries (UITBB) has been informed of the passing of Comrade Luis Brito Jimenez, of Cuba.
Comrade Luis, hailing from the city of Camaguey, he was an example of a true revolutionary, always fighting for the construction workers in Cuba and the world.
He served as the General Secretary of SNTC Cuba, leading many successful struggles for the improvement of the conditions of workers in the sector, as well as for the training of thousands of trade union leaders.
In the context of UITBB, Comrade Luis greatly advanced the cause of international solidarity, class-based struggle and militant fighting spirit of the international progressive trade unionism.
UITBB expresses its sincerest and deepest condolences to his family and the SNTC.
Comrade Luis will always be remembered!
