COVID-19 Pandemic and the Construction Industry
June 28 is UITBB International Action Day and, for this year, given the special circumstances we find ourselves in, we have decided to dedicate the day on the COVID-19 Pandemic and the Construction Industry, and especially how the capital and the conservative governments take advantage of the pandemic to increase their profits, and make the workers pay for the crisis.
We therefore call all our affiliated organisations and friends around the world, in observing the UITBB International Action Day, to organize any activities, discussions and actions possible, to show and underline the strong sense of internationalist solidarity of the international class-oriented trade union movement with construction workers around the world and to show that we will not accept the exploitation of the pandemic in order to pass anti-labour laws and take away our rights.
