18th SUNCA Congress – 50th Anniversary of the General Strike
With more than 1,400 accredited delegates, SUNCA’s 18th Congress is underway.
SUNCA was founded on May 11, 1958, and has set an example of constant struggles and unity, in the middle of difficult conditions, both in the political context and the crisis that always accompanies our just causes. Nothing makes us lose our willing to create a better destiny for our brother builders.
It is there where we must recognize the role of SUNCA, which has known how to combine the struggles, without faltering due to the many difficulties that arise, in so many years of exemplary responsibility, which have allowed us to gain respect and authority before employers and governments.
An international delegation of 30 Trade Union leaders from the different countries of Latin America is also present.
A tribute was paid to Mario Huamán, ex-Secretary General of the FTCCP and CGTP of Peru.
